Comments:

In Lanza the Court held that the rule against double jeopardy did not apply to persons tried under State and Federal liquor laws; in Carroll searches without warrant for alcohol of motor vehicles were held to be legal, and in Olmstead the Court held in a case arising from prohibition enforcement that evidence gained from wiretaps was admissible.
